Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Loan Processor to join our national team. In this role, you will act as the vital link between our borrowers, loan officers, and underwriters, ensuring every file is accurate, compliant, and ready for a smooth closing.
Your primary focus is to manage the loan file from application through to closing. You will be responsible for:
- Compile financial data and review loan applications for creditworthiness, ensuring all files meet AUS and specific program guidelines.
- Proactively request and review third-party documents, including appraisals, titles, and verifications of employment or deposits.
- Evaluate files for completeness and accuracy before submission to Underwriting; clear any necessary conditions to move the file forward.
- Prioritize your pipeline to meet strict closing deadlines and submit approved files to the Closing department.
- Issue approval or denial letters and maintain clear, professional communication with borrowers, loan officers, and vendors to ensure a seamless experience.
- Track and record loan status data, including application volume and approval rates.
- At least 3 years of experience in the mortgage industry with a solid understanding of the end-to-end lending process.
- Hands-on experience using Encompass360 is required.
- Proven ability to analyze complex data, interpret guidelines (Conventional, FHA, USDA, VA), and solve problems independently.
- Exceptional customer service skills with experience managing relationships between internal teams and external partners.
