The Role

Join Deckers Brands as a Senior Merchandise Planner for HOKA DTC and play a key role in shaping the financial success of one of our fastest-growing brands. You'll drive the development and execution of strategic financial plans, collaborating across teams to maximize sales, profitability, and inventory turn. Your expertise will help us deliver the right products to the right channels, ensuring our customers always have access to what they love.

Your Impact

  • Develop and execute department, class, and style-color level plans by channel, connecting top-down guidance with bottom-up planning
  • Build weekly category sales and inventory plans to support brand and channel goals
  • Analyze historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities
  • Create and oversee style-color level sales and buy plans, ensuring alignment between top-down and bottom-up strategies
  • Partner with Merchants and cross-functional teams to influence assortment strategies and financial goals
  • Present plans in DTC Investment Review and participate in GTM and Brand Conference meetings
  • Build regular price and markdown plans based on product strategies and flow calendar
  • Collaborate with Planning Operations to secure product by market and month, influencing sizing and assortment changes
  • Participate in buy review conversations with Wholesale and Supply Planning
  • Lead in-season Open-to-Buy reforecasting, reacting to trends and optimizing inventory positions
  • Quantify and communicate supply disruptions, pivoting strategies to achieve goals
  • Share inventory positions and recommendations with ecommerce, marketing, and allocation teams
  • Own creation and presentation of financial results and reporting in WBR/QBR meetings
  • Embrace continuous improvement and best practices, developing actions to optimize business goals
  • Track and improve forecast accuracy, sharing insights and strategies for success

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's Degree or related work experience
  • 4+ years of merchandise planning, inventory management, buying, or finance in a retail environment
  • Forecasting experience required
  • Strong statistical analysis and communication skills
  • Collaborative team player with a positive attitude and responsible approach
  • Curious, flexible, action-oriented, and forward-looking problem solver
  • Advanced in Excel; systems savvy; familiarity with Oracle and Tableau preferred
  • Able to develop and maintain strong working relationships with peers and cross-functional teams
  • Strong knowledge of merchandise planning and retail math, with mentoring abilities
