Company Description

About Techo-Bloc

At Techo-Bloc, we don't just make hardscape products - we transform outdoor spaces into works of art. As a North American leader in premium concrete paving stones, retaining walls, and hardscape solutions, we partner with contractors, landscapers, architects, and dealers who take pride in craftsmanship. A 7-time winner of Canada's Best Managed Companies award, we're recognized not just for what we build, but for how we run our business. We're growing fast, and we need leaders who grow with us.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a driven and relationship-focused Specification Sales Representative to expand Techo-Bloc's presence within the Architectural, Landscape Architecture, Design, Engineering, and Commercial Development communities. This role is responsible for identifying project opportunities early in the design phase, influencing product specifications, educating industry professionals, and creating pull-through demand that supports long-term revenue growth.

The ideal candidate is a strategic relationship builder who thrives on networking, consultative selling, and becoming a trusted resource for architects, designers, developers, and key project stakeholders.

Territory: The Carolinas (home office based)

Job Description

What Success Looks Like

  • Increased specification activity throughout the territory.
  • Growth in relationships with key A&D and commercial stakeholders.
  • Strong pipeline of active projects and future opportunities.
  • High conversion rate of specifications to completed projects.
  • Increased commercial market penetration and brand awareness.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain relationships with architects, landscape architects, designers, engineers, developers, and commercial end users.
  • Drive Techo-Bloc product specifications into commercial and residential project designs.
  • Conduct presentations, lunch-and-learns, CEUs, and product education sessions.
  • Identify and cultivate project opportunities from concept through construction.
  • Collaborate closely with Commercial Sales Representatives and distribution partners to ensure specified projects convert into sales.
  • Track project activity, specifications, and pipeline opportunities through CRM.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive products, and emerging design opportunities.
  • Represent Techo-Bloc at industry events, trade shows, and professional associations.
  • Support the design community with technical expertise, product recommendations, and project consultation.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in specification sales, architectural sales, commercial sales, or related industry experience.
  • Experience working with architects, landscape architects, designers, developers, contractors, or engineering firms.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and consultative selling abilities.
  • Experience within construction materials, hardscapes, building products, architectural products, or landscape products is strongly preferred.
