Architectural Product Sales Rep Jobs (NOW HIRING)

Rugby Architectural Building Products is a wholesale distributor of specialty building products, operating out of 26 branches throughout the United States. Our primary business is non-structural architectural grade building products sold principally to customers who create and produce end-products for the commercial, industrial, retail, residential and institutional markets. (In New Century, KS, Lebanon, TN, and Rockford, IL we do business as: Olathe Millworks, Warren Brother Sash & Door, River City Millworks respectfully.)

Position: We are growing! We are looking for a Specification Representative who will promote and create pull-through demand for Rugby Architectural Building Products for both the commercial and residential markets with the ultimate goal of driving increased revenues. You will work in a hybrid environment, combining work at the local branch, occasional remote work, and significant travel around the local area calling on architects and engineering firms.

Your Day-to-Day: to excel in this role, you will need to...

• Promote and sell our products to architects, designers, contractors, and other industry professionals. Serve as product manager for our entire product line to the A&D community.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in the design and architecture communities to generate product specifications and drive sales growth.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, and specifiers to identify project requirements and provide tailored solutions using our full product line.
• Create and deliver compelling presentations and technical demonstrations to educate customers about the features, benefits, and applications of our products.
• Prepare and submit accurate and detailed product specifications for inclusion in project plans and specifications.
• Conduct regular site visits, attend industry trade shows, and participate in networking events to build brand awareness and expand the customer base.
• Conduct market research, staying up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments related to non-structural architectural lumber.
• Gather customer feedback and market intelligence to identify opportunities for product improvement or expansion, providing this insight and recommendations to management.

• Willingness to travel regularly for customer visits, trade shows, and industry events.
