Senior Cloud Engineer Ransomware Protection (Azure)Remote
Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to support the implementation and operation of the Azure Ransomware Protection Landing Zone within the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCE). This role focuses on engineering, configuring, and validating backup and recovery solutions for Azure workloads, enabling enterprise applications to securely protect and restore data.
The engineer will work under architectural guidance and collaborate closely with cloud, security, and platform teams.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and configure backup and restore solutions for Azure services (VMs, Blob Storage, App Services).
Support logical air-gapped backup designs defined by the platform architecture.
Execute backup, restore, and recovery testing, including ransomware recovery scenarios.
Assist with onboarding enterprise applications into the Azure backup landing zone.
Maintain runbooks, operational procedures, and documentation.
Support day-to-day operations and continuous improvement of the platform.
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (VMs, Storage, App Services).
Experience with backup, restore, and disaster recovery solutions.
Solid understanding of cloud security and data protection best practices.
Ability to work collaboratively within a CCE or platform team.
Preferred
Experience with enterprise backup platforms.
Exposure to AWS backup or multi-cloud environments.
Familiarity with ransomware protection and cyber recovery concepts.
