Job description

About Dare Therapy

Dare Therapy is a growing private practice dedicated to providing high-quality mental health services to individuals, couples, and families. We believe in a holistic approach to therapy, emphasizing client-centered care and evidence-based practices.

Our specialties include:

  • Relational: Individual, Couples, families, and group therapy.
  • Specialized Populations: Neurodivergence and sex offenders.
  • Clinical Focus: Sex addiction, trauma, addiction, anger management, anxiety, body image, self-esteem, and depression.

We utilize proven treatment methods, including ACT, CBT, EFT, EMDR, Gottman, and IFS. This position starts part-time and grows into a full-time role (25+ billable hours).

Benefits of Joining Our Team

  • Clinical Supervision Provided: We offer dedicated supervisory oversight for pre-licensed clinicians (LCSW, LMHC- & LMFT-associates) to help you grow and accrue hours toward independent licensure.
  • Dedicated Administrative Support: Benefit from streamlined billing and scheduling services so you can focus entirely on client care.
  • Flexibility & Balance: Enjoy a fully remote workflow with flexible scheduling options.
  • Collaborative Environment: Thrive in a collegial, supportive team that values professional development.

Why Join Us? (The Real Value of Our W2 Model)

We know the market is full of "Fee-for-Service" roles with high hourly numbers that don't tell the whole story. At our agency, we offer a W2 (No Benefits) model at the start, then transition you into a stable, salaried position as your caseload grows. We are structured to provide you with more stability and higher actual take-home pay than traditional contractor roles.

The "Hidden" Benefits of Our W2 Rate:

  • Paid Documentation: Your expertise doesn't stop when the session ends. Unlike traditional FFS roles, we pay for your 15-minute documentation blocks, ensuring your "per-session" value is accurately reflected in your paycheck.
  • Tax Savings & Protection: As a W2 employer, we pay 7.65% of your payroll taxes (Social Security & Medicare). That’s an immediate "raise" compared to 1099 roles, where you are responsible for the full 15.3% self-employment tax.
  • On-the-Clock Supervision: For our pre-licensed clinicians, we provide free, weekly board-approved supervision during your paid working hours. This saves you roughly $6,000 per year in out-of-pocket costs.
  • Growth Guarantee: We don’t just hire you; we invest in you. We provide a clear, structured pay ladder with significant raises the moment you hit your LCSW/LMHC and LICSW milestones.
  • The "Double Shield" of Liability: We prioritize your safety. You receive two layers of protection: our comprehensive agency professional liability coverage plus your own personal policy, ensuring your license and the agency are fully protected.
  • Immediate Safety Net: From your first hour on the clock, you are fully protected. Unlike 1099 roles, we provide Workers' Compensation and Unemployment Insurance starting on Day 1. Whether it’s an unexpected injury or an economic shift, your financial security is prioritized.

About the Role

We are seeking compassionate therapists—both fully licensed (Independent) and pre-licensed (Associate)—to join our team. Candidates must reside in and be licensed (or license-eligible for associates) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual, couples, and family therapy services via telehealth.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within 24 hours of the session.
  • Pre-licensed staff: Participate in regular clinical supervision and team meetings.
  • Licensed staff: Lead clinical consultations and mentor associate-level staff as needed.
  • Build and maintain a strong client base through referrals and community outreach.
  • Meet the minimum billable-hour requirement of 25 hours/week after 6 months.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field (CSWE/CACREP accredited).
  • Licensure:
  • Independent: Currently licensed in MA as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT.
  • Pre-licensed/Associate: Currently licensed/eligible in MA as an LCSW or LMHC-associate requiring supervised hours.
  • Experience: 3+ years of post-licensure experience for independent roles; completed clinical practicum/internship for associate roles.
  • Commitment: Ability to commit to at least 3 years with Dare Therapy.
  • Clinical Skills: Proficiency (or a strong desire to train) in ACT, CBT, EFT, EMDR, Gottman, or IFS.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and telehealth modalities.

Benefits

  • Competitive hourly rate Commensurate with licensure level.
  • Clinical Supervision is included for pre-licensed staff.
  • Flexible scheduling and fully remote work.
  • Medical benefits and health insurance.

To Apply:

Please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your current licensure status and interest in our core treatment methods.

Dare Therapy is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
