• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ mental and emotional well-being, identifying their unique needs and goals.
• Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and client feedback.
• Provide therapeutic interventions through one-on-one sessions addressing a broad spectrum of mental health issues.
• Facilitate couples therapy to help improve communication skills, resolve conflicts, and strengthen relationships.
• Regularly review and modify treatment plans to monitor client progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
• Maintain accurate, confidential records of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and effective client outcomes.
• Provide crisis intervention and support for clients experiencing acute mental health challenges.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay informed of advancements in therapy practices and techniques.
• Advocate for client rights, empowering them to make informed decisions about their treatment journey.

Our client base encompasses a wide demographic, including children, adolescents, adults, and couples. You will work with clients facing various mental health conditions, relationship difficulties, and personal challenges, offering strategies and support tailored to their individual circumstances. Your ability to connect empathetically with clients from different backgrounds is paramount to fostering an effective therapeutic alliance.

• A Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a closely related field is required.
• Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in New York State is mandatory.
• Proven experience providing individual and/or couples therapy is essential, along with the ability to empathize and connect with diverse client populations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are crucial for timely documentation and effective client interactions.

• Prior experience working with both children and adults in a therapeutic context.
• A solid understanding of electronic health record systems to maintain efficient client documentation.
• Familiarity with evidence-based modalities and therapeutic interventions specific to marriage and family therapy.

Allina Healthcare, PC offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $105,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
