• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental and emotional health to identify their needs and goals.
• Create individualized treatment plans through collaboration with clients, aligning interventions with empirical research and best practices.
• Provide one-on-one therapy sessions for individuals experiencing a range of challenges, from anxiety and depression to relationship issues.
• Facilitate couples therapy sessions to enhance communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen relational dynamics.
• Document client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with ethical guidelines.
• Review and adjust treatment plans regularly, ensuring they align with client progress and evolving mental health needs.
• Engage in crisis intervention when necessary, supporting clients experiencing acute distress or emergencies.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and health professionals to provide holistic care and coordinated treatment.
• Stay informed and up-to-date with the latest research and techniques in marriage and family therapy.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to strengthen clinical skills and improve therapeutic approaches.
• Advocate for clients’ rights and wellbeing in all interactions, fostering an environment of empowerment and informed decision-making.
• Promote self-care practices for both clients and yourself to maintain emotional resilience and prevent burnout.

In this role, you will work with a diverse clientele, including adolescents grappling with issues such as developmental challenges, adults facing transitions and relational difficulties, and couples aiming to enhance their partnerships. Your expertise in marriage and family therapy will enable you to provide tailored interventions and contribute significantly to the mental wellness of each individual and relationship.

• Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field is required.
• Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Georgia is a must.
• Demonstrated experience providing therapy services to individuals and couples, ideally with children and adults from varying backgrounds.
• Strong skills in the timely completion of client assessments, documentation, and treatment planning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively utilize electronic health record systems.

• Experience with telehealth platforms and remote therapy delivery.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities suitable for diverse populations.
• Background in crisis management and intervention strategies.
