Do any airlines offer remote airline sales work?

Remote airline sales positions are available with some airlines, especially in roles such as reservations, customer service, or sales support. These jobs typically require strong communication skills, familiarity with airline booking systems, and the ability to work independently from home. Availability varies by airline and may depend on company policies and current industry needs.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote airline sales professional?

To thrive as a Remote Airline Sales Representative, you need strong sales acumen, product knowledge of airline offerings, and typically a background in sales or customer service. Familiarity with airline reservation systems (such as Amadeus or Sabre), CRM software, and proficiency in telecommunication tools are essential. Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and self-motivation are standout soft skills for this remote role. These skills and qualities ensure effective customer engagement, drive sales performance, and enable efficient remote work in a competitive industry.

What is a remote airline sales professional?

A Remote Airline Sales job involves promoting and selling airline tickets and services to customers or travel agents while working from a remote location, such as a home office. These professionals handle customer inquiries, process bookings, offer travel advice, and may also manage group or corporate sales. The role typically requires excellent communication skills, sales experience, and a good understanding of airline systems and travel regulations. Working remotely allows for flexibility but also demands strong self-motivation and time management skills.

How does a remote airline sales professional typically collaborate with other departments while working off-site?

Remote airline sales professionals frequently use digital tools such as video conferencing, CRM platforms, and instant messaging to coordinate with marketing, customer service, and operations teams. Regular virtual meetings ensure alignment on sales targets, promotional campaigns, and customer feedback. While working remotely requires strong self-management, successful collaboration hinges on clear communication and proactive participation in team initiatives. This structure enables remote sales staff to build strong internal relationships and stay informed about company updates despite the physical distance.

Job description

Remote (US) · Heavy travel + monthly SF time · Full-time Compensation: $135,000–$155,000 base + competitive equity (not an OTE role)

About the Company

Our client captures everything a pilot sees and hears and turns it into automated debrief intelligence. The platform is live across collegiate flight programs, business-jet operators, and a branch of the US military. Demand is accelerating and the market is wide open. Sales today are entirely founder-led, and this role is among the first ten hires.

Founded 2024 · 6–7 people (Seed) · Industry: Aviation / AI

The Role

A Founding Business Development Lead owning the full BD cycle across airlines, private-jet operators, and flight-training centers — strategic and operational first, not a high-volume execution seat. You start by owning nearly everything personally, then transition into a senior team-building role as the company scales toward Series A.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of aviation sales experience
  • An existing network across airlines, jet operators, and flight-training organizations
  • Full-cycle BD ownership, both strategic and hands-on
  • Remote (US) with heavy travel and monthly time in SF
  • A base-plus-equity structure (not an OTE role)
  • No sponsorship available; clearance preferred
Nice to Haves
  • A pilot's license or deep flight-operations and training background
  • A genuine, active network across airlines, charter or fractional operators, or collegiate and military flight-training programs
  • A track record building pipeline from zero without an existing playbook
  • Early-stage or founding go-to-market experience
  • Comfortable moving between strategic planning and hands-on execution in the same week
Why Join
  • Founding ownership: early-stage equity with real ownership in a category-defining aviation-AI company; first BD hire, building the function from scratch
  • A flight-training perk: the company sponsors flight training toward a pilot's license
  • Real traction now: deals closing across flight schools, operators, and a US military branch
  • A clear growth path into commercial leadership as the company moves toward Series A
  • Benefits: 401(k) and health insurance
Details
  • Location — Remote (US)
  • Work policy — Remote with heavy travel and monthly SF time
  • Compensation — $135,000–$155,000 base + competitive equity (not an OTE role)
  • Visa sponsorship — Not available; clearance preferred
  • Employment type — Full-time
