Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive admission assessments for new patients, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience to facilitate their integration into therapy.
  • Actively participate in weekly treatment team meetings to discuss and refine patient treatment goals, contributing to an inclusive and supportive team environment.
  • Perform utilization reviews for insurance companies, ensuring that all necessary clinical information is provided to secure authorizations for patient treatment.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with families and caregivers by responding to calls and emails within a two-hour window during business hours.
  • Coordinate with the Utilization Review and Business Departments on matters related to insurance authorization and payment, ensuring seamless collaboration across all departments.
  • Initiate discharge planning from day one of patient admission, preparing comprehensive transition plans, confirming follow-up appointments, and ensuring patients feel supported throughout the process.
  • Skillfully manage crises as they arise during therapy sessions, providing necessary support not only to patients but also to the milieu staff who interact with them.
  • Ensure all clinical documentation is recorded promptly and accurately, maintaining compliance with organizational standardsโ€”documentation must be completed at the time of service.
  • Establish and nurture therapeutic rapport with patients and their loved ones, conducting thorough assessments to identify suicidality or potential risks.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role involves working closely with a diverse client base, including individuals facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and more. Your work will significantly impact their therapeutic journey, helping them develop coping skills, achieve personal goals, and foster a sense of empowerment as they navigate their mental health challenges.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Masterโ€™s or Doctorate degree in a relevant field, including clinical psychology, counseling, or clinical social work (e.g., MA, MS, MSW, MFT, MHC, PhD, PsyD) from an accredited institution.
  • An independent license in the state of Oregon or the respective state of residence (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPC) is required.
