Position Summary
Serves as a member of the Admissions Team, managing the assigned recruitment territory to assist in achieving enrollment goals. Provides information about the University of Hartford and the college planning process to prospective students, parents and high school counselors. Manages and execute a comprehensive recruitment schedule in assigned geographic territory.
Performs all duties in full support of the University's mission, understanding that the positive and effective execution of these duties are instrumental to the education of the University's students.
This is a fully remote position and assigned to one of the following areas:
Long Island
Boston/New England
Northern New Jersey/Westchester & Rockland Counties, New York
Southern New Jersey/Philadelphia

Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Territory Management & Travel -
  • Independently manages and executes a comprehensive recruitment schedule in assigned geographic territory.
  • Regularly visit high school, high school college fairs, regional college fairs, national college fairs, community-based organization events, transfer college fairs, etc.

Outreach & Events -
  • Hosts recruitment and yield events in assigned territory annually.

Application Review and Counseling -
  • Advises students/families on admission and next steps.
  • Conducts prospective student appointments and follow-up meetings.
  • Evaluates applications in holistic review process and meet yearly reading goals.

Relationship Development & Maintenance -
  • Develops and maintains a strong presence of understanding about the University of Hartford in assigned territory including high-touch service for school counselors, students, and families in assigned region including but not limited to phone calls, emails, texting, virtual meetings, in person visits, and specialized recruitment events.
  • Develops and cultivates strong relationships with school counselors, community-based organizations, independent educational consultants and other influencers in assigned recruitment territory

Data & Reporting -
  • Uses Customer Relationship Management , ie. "CRM" (Slate) and historical data to set goals, target schools, and report on territory performance and event ROI

Relationship Cultivation -
  • Works alongside Development & Alumni Affairs to support alumni events in your assigned territory.
  • Cultivates relationships to develop connections with alumni for support in future recruitment events in your assigned territory.
  • Educates alumni volunteers on the messaging and branding of the University of Hartford.
  • Travels to campus for staff training and on-campus recruitment events as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned.
