Accounting Supervisor - General Ledger

LM Restaurants is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Accounting Supervisor to oversee core accounting operations and ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting across the organization. They will play a key role in strengthening internal controls, improving efficiencies, and supporting leadership with reliable financial insights.
We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-unit environment, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in ensuring financial accuracy and operational excellence.
What You'll Do
  • Support general ledger activity by reviewing account balances, transactions, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Prepare and post journal entries and assist with month-end and period-end close activities.
  • Maintain and update fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation schedules.
  • Research and help resolve variances and discrepancies, ensuring proper documentation and support for adjustments.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, helping ensure deadlines and deliverables are met.
  • Support preparation and review of financial statements and related reporting schedules.
  • Prepare routine financial reports and provide summarized results to leadership as needed.
  • Assist in analyzing financial data to identify trends, errors, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Supervise and support two Accounting Specialists, including workflow coordination, task assignment, and day-to-day guidance.
  • Support audit requests, tax documentation preparation, and participate in process improvement initiatives across accounting functions.

What We're Looking For
  • 3-7+ years of accounting experience, preferably in multi-unit, hospitality, retail, or similar environments
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting
  • Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and fixed asset accounting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to identify issues, investigate variances, and drive resolution
  • Experience supporting audits and compliance processes
  • Strong communication skills and ability to translate financial data into clear insights
  • Ability to work independently while also supporting and developing team members
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
