Job description

We are recruiting an Accounting Manager for a growing company in Raleigh. This position offers a blend of technical accounting, financial reporting, and operational partnership, making it a good opportunity for someone looking to leverage both their public accounting foundation and industry experience. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in the monthly close process, consolidated financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives while partnering closely with finance leadership and operational stakeholders across the organization. Key Responsibilities Lead key aspects of the monthly close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP. Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial results while investigating and resolving variances. Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, management reporting packages, and supporting schedules. Partner with FP&A, business unit finance leaders, and corporate accounting to analyze results and support business decision-making. Assist with external financial reporting requirements, including support for quarterly and annual reporting. Maintain and enhance internal controls while supporting SOX compliance and audit activities. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and operational efficiencies. Participate in cross-functional projects and collaborate with finance and operational leadership on company initiatives. Supervise and mentor a small accounting team, providing coaching, development, and leadership. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA required or in process 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a combination of public accounting and corporate accounting experience. Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close.
