Job description

Robert Half has partnered with a fast growing company in the hospitality sector to assist them in hiring an Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelors degree in accounting or finance and prior supervisory experience. NetSuite is also a plus. The Accounting Manager will lead day-to-day accounting activities and help maintain dependable, timely financial reporting for the organization. This role is well suited for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who brings strong technical knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to keep multiple priorities moving in a fast-paced, multi-unit environment. This position will also contribute to stronger controls, smoother processes, and clear financial insight for leadership. This is a permanant onsite position in Raleigh, North Carolina.


Responsibilities:

• Oversee general ledger activity by reviewing transactions, balances, and reconciliations to confirm accuracy.

• Prepare journal entries while supporting monthly close activities to keep reporting on schedule.

• Manage fixed asset accounting, including tracking acquisitions, retirements, transfers, and depreciation records.

• Investigate account variances and other discrepancies, document findings, and make corrections.

• Contribute to month-end and year-end close deliverables to help ensure reporting deadlines are consistently met.

• Assist with the preparation and review of financial statements, supporting schedules, and recurring management reports.

• Analyze financial information to highlight trends, identify potential issues, and support operational improvement opportunities.

• Supervise a small accounting team by coordinating workload, assigning tasks, and offering guidance.

• Field all external audit requests, assist with tax-related documentation, and participate in accounting process improvement efforts.
