Job description

At Endress+Hauser, progress happens by working together. As the global leader in measurement instrumentation, our ~17,000 employees shape the future in the field of process automation. Whether developing and realizing new technology as a team, collaborating to build instrumentation, or strengthening vital relationships with countless global industries, we work to create trusted relationships that help everyone thrive. As a family-owned company, we look beyond short-term moves and work to create a vision that is forward-thinking for our people, our clients, and the world at large.

As a Strategic Account Manager, you will lead the development and growth of Endress+Hauser's most significant customer relationships within a defined market or industry segment. This high-impact role is responsible for driving net sales and profitability by building deep partnerships, co-creating strategic goals, and aligning customer needs with our solutions.

You'll serve as the national ambassador and primary point of contact for your assigned accounts, managing everything from strategic planning and problem-solving to contract negotiations and the creation of customer-specific agreements. Your ability to influence, collaborate, and deliver value will be key to shaping long-term success for both the customer and Endress+Hauser.

Which tasks will you perform?

  • Build and nurture relationships with stakeholders from corporate leadership to plant-level teams, identifying opportunities that drive business growth
  • Partner with C-suite executives to develop strategic initiatives and long-term partnerships
  • Gain deep insight into each account's business model, challenges, and goals to deliver tailored solutions
  • Collaborate with local, regional, and global sales teams to align efforts and maximize impact across all levels of the organization
  • Lead the development and execution of strategic account plans that support sustainable growth and customer success
  • Coordinate with international Sales Centers, strategic resources, and Production Centers to ensure global alignment and coverage of key account interests
  • Define and implement targeted development plans to expand business within strategic locations and industry segments
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to proactively identify new opportunities and threats
  • Maintain accurate forecasts and pipeline visibility for assigned accounts, contributing to overall business planning and resource allocation

What do we expect from you?

You will have (required):

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or 7+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • Proven success in developing and managing strategic accounts within large, complex organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, trust-based business relationships rooted in partnership
  • Skilled in collaborating across internal teams and with external stakeholders to drive results
  • Proficient in interpreting financial data to inform strategic decisions
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%

You may have (preferred):

  • Knowledge of process automation/instrumentation industry
  • Experience and knowledge of a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (preferably Salesforce.com)
  • Contract negotiation experience
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a proven ability to inspire and influence teams, build trust and credibility, and effectively coach and guide individuals without relying on formal authority
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities, with a focus on gathering and interpreting data to develop innovative solutions

What can you expect from us?

  • Family-owned, friendly, and highly committed company
  • Tuition reimbursement and a wide range of development opportunities
  • Comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dental and vision
  • Competitive compensation and bonus opportunities
  • Generous paid time off
  • Life insurance and 401(k) savings with company match
  • Full-service cafe, fitness center, and health clinic (in Greenwood, IN)
