Job description

The Role

As a Relocation Manager, you will be responsible for managing the door-to-door shipping and relocation services for corporate assignees. The job role will require you to develop a relationship with K2 Corporate Mobility's clients, proactively managing their relocations in a fast-paced environment. You will act as a point of contact for both assignees and K2's clients.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Manage and be a point of contact (including but not limited to: video conference, email, text, platforms) for assignees throughout their relocation process for corporate accounts across various services including:
    • Household Goods Shipment
    • Temporary Accommodation
    • Destination Services
      • Area Orientation
      • Home Finding
      • School Search
      • Settling in Services
      • Departures Services
    • Tenancy Management
    • Language and Culture Training
    • Spousal Support
    • Expense Management
    • Any other services required by our clients
  • Implement and adhere to our clearly defined processes to ensure consistency in services globally
  • Manages and continually updates data as needed within Ascent throughout the process of services to ensure the most accurate information is available for reporting
  • Research, communicate, and ensure that customs requirements and restrictions are adhered to for international relocations
  • Coordinate and manage third party partners - reserve, book, and audit services provided by the partners
  • Schedules invoice date(s) and approves charges for all services within Ascent
  • Approves vendor invoices within Access Workspace Portal
  • Approves and schedules invoice date(s) for additional charges within Ascent
  • Proactively communicate via emails, calls, platforms, etc and develop relationships with assignees, colleagues, vendors, and clients
  • Build an in-depth knowledge of assigned clients' policies, cultures, and service requirements
  • Prepare reports and worksheets for clients and colleagues
  • Provides vacation coverage for colleagues
  • Takes on additional clients as needed
  • Attends team and client meetings as needed
  • Continued education via Eloomi and refresher training
  • Comply with information security regulations, principles and obligations in line with ISO, with emphasis on continued learning as technology changes. Maintain software and data encryption in line with compliance and relevant data protection laws globally, ensure the safety, integrity, and accountability of all the data we handle
  • All other duties as assigned


Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or some schooling and equivalent experience would be advantageous
  • Additional language skills would be advantageous
  • Prior experience within the household goods or relocation management industry is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-confident and motivated, works on own initiative and as a part of the team
  • Ability to display confidence and professionalism in client interactions including meetings and presentations when required
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office products
  • Organizing and prioritizing daily/weekly tasks
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • 'Can do' attitude and ability to learn quickly
  • Building and developing working relationships with key partners and with K2 colleagues
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and client information
  • Ability to resolve escalations yielding in high quality outcomes

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position, often sitting for prolonged periods
