SUMMARY: The Relocation Coordinator is responsible for assisting and directing relocation staff and residents in the timely and effective execution of CMHA's relocation, transfer, and reasonable accommodation processes. This role reflects CMHA's commitment to integrity, accountability, and exceptional service by ensuring that all relocation activities are conducted with fairness, transparency, and respect for residents. The position reports directly to the Relocation Supervisor.

Prepare comprehensive relocation plans in accordance with the Uniform Relocation Act, applicable HUD regulations, and CMHA policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and accountability in all processes. Remain current on HUD 1378-24 CFR updates.
Collaborate with resident leadership and management staff to develop relocation plans that reflect CMHA's commitment to resident-focused service and respect, ensuring plans meet the diverse needs of all stakeholders. Obtain HUD approval prior to implementation.
Represent CMHA management throughout the relocation process, serving as a trusted liaison and demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and responsiveness in addressing relocation-related issues.
Serve as the management liaison on the relocation committee, fostering collaboration and clear communication across departments.
Inspect units during construction/rehab to ensure quality standards are met and that resident-specific needs and accommodations are addressed with care and attention to detail.
Assign and assist with post-rehab unit inspections, ensuring readiness and alignment with resident needs.
Coordinate the procurement process to identify relocation service providers, partnering with the MBE Coordinator and Purchasing Office to support equitable and inclusive contracting practices. Monitor vendor performance for timeliness, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Conduct assessments for Reasonable Accommodation requests, ensuring decisions are made with fairness, empathy, and adherence to policy.
Evaluate resident or participant needs related to transfers due to medical conditions, reasonable accommodations, or domestic circumstances, maintaining a compassionate and solutions-oriented approach.
Provide consultation to CMHA managers and staff, supporting effective problem-solving and reinforcing CMHA's values of service, collaboration, and accountability.
Develop and maintain partnerships with health, welfare, and social service agencies to expand resources and support for residents, demonstrating CMHA's commitment to community engagement and service excellence.
Participate in departmental projects and initiatives, contributing to a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
Perform administrative duties, including timely and accurate submission of case records, reports, and related documentation, reflecting organizational integrity and accountability.
Maintain functional knowledge of CMHA programs and services, effectively communicating with residents and external partners while handling sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Travel throughout the county as required to fulfill job responsibilities.
