onsemi is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Equipment Engineering & Maintenance Manager to lead and optimize the performance, reliability, and sustainment of manufacturing equipment supporting CMP, RTP, and CuBs. This role is critical to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective equipment operation in a 24/7 semiconductor manufacturing environment.
Area: CMP, RTP, and CuBs
Shift: Days (supports 24/7 operations)

  • CMP: AMAT Mirra, LAM/Novellus IPEC Momentum and 776
  • RTP: AMAT Centura
  • CuBs: LAMSabre, AMAT Endura

Responsibilities
Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of 18 direct reports (2 Equipment Engineers, 16 Maintenance Technicians) supporting 24/7 operations.
  • Own equipment performance KPIs, including uptime, line yield, and cost.
  • Provide technical leadership and escalation support for complex equipment issues across CMP, RTP, and CuBs.
  • Drive continuous improvements in equipment reliability, cost efficiency, safety, and quality through targeted electrical and mechanical upgrades.
  • Drive equipment reliability and uptime improvement initiatives, including RCA, FMEA, LSS, and PM optimization.
  • Partner with Process Engineering, Production, Quality, Facilities, and EHS to resolve tool, process, and safety issues.
  • Ensure safe and compliant execution of maintenance activities, including adherence to LOTO, chemical safety, and site EHS standards.
  • Maintain equipment documentation, PMs, work instructions, certifications, and training requirements.
  • Plan, manage, and control a $3.57M annual spare parts and consumables budget, including forecasting and cost optimization.
  • Manage supplier relationships, service strategies, and spare-parts repair loops to reduce total cost of ownership.
  • Support audits, change management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Mechatronics, or related).
  • 5+ years of experience in semiconductor equipment engineering or maintenance.
  • 2+ years of experience leading or supervising technical teams.
  • Demonstrated success in change management and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong working knowledge of equipment reliability methods, maintenance systems (CMMS), and KPI-driven performance management.

Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA.
  • Experience in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing environments.
  • Budget ownership experience for maintenance, spares, or consumables.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or structured continuous improvement training.
