Autodesk is looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to strengthen leadership across our Asset Management and Flow Platform, powering cloud-based workflows used in media, entertainment, and design production pipelines.

You will lead multiple engineering teams to deliver scalable, cloud-native platform services that manage digital assets and orchestrate complex workflows across production environments. This role combines technical depth, execution excellence, and cross-team leadership to drive platform evolution at scale.

What You'll Do

Lead High-Impact Engineering Teams

  • Manage and grow multiple cloud engineering teams, fostering a culture of ownership, quality, and continuous improvement

  • Set clear priorities and drive execution across interconnected platform domains

Drive Cloud Platform Strategy & Delivery

  • Deliver highly scalable, resilient services for asset management and workflow orchestration

  • Partner with Product and Architecture to define roadmaps aligned with customer and business needs

  • Ensure systems are designed for performance, reliability, and global scale

Champion Modern Cloud Engineering

  • Lead adoption of cloud-native architectures (microservices, event-driven systems, APIs)

  • Drive best practices in CI/CD, observability, security, and SRE principles

  • Guide teams in leveraging AWS, Azure, or GCP ecosystems effectively

Enable Production-Ready Systems

  • Build platforms that support real-world production environments, including high-throughput, latency-sensitive workflows

  • Ensure strong operational readiness, incident management, and service reliability

Collaborate & Influence

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams across platforms, applications, and studios/customers

  • Influence technical decisions across teams and contribute to broader platform direction

Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years in software engineering, including people management experience

  • Proven experience leading multiple engineering teams

  • Strong background in cloud platforms and distributed systems

  • Experience delivering production-grade systems at scale

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Media & Entertainment (M&E) or similar production environments (e.g., VFX, animation, gaming pipelines)

  • Familiarity with asset management systems, content pipelines, or workflow orchestration platforms

  • Hands-on experience with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern DevOps practices

  • Strong understanding of data-intensive systems and storage solutions

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For Canada based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $156,000 and $228,800. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
