The Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) is seeking to hire qualified candidates with the opportunity to work in a dynamic, creative thinking, problem solving environment. This position serves as the Salesforce Release Technician for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) performing professional work of an intermediate level of difficulty in application services, including carrying out assigned release/change coordination activities for Salesforce development teams.
In this position, you will assist in developing validation scripts and perform related activities following established procedures to help maintain accurate and functional releases. Additionally, you will serve as a project team member performing assigned project tasks within established deadlines to meet project deliverables, including assisting the project lead in preparing and updating project schedules and validation activities.

Essential functions under general supervision, serves as the Salesforce Release Technician for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT), performing professional work of an intermediate level of difficulty in Application Services, including carrying out assigned release and change coordination activities for Salesforce development teams. Provides support and problem resolution assistance for moderately difficult issues, referring complex problems to higher-level professionals. Serves as a project team member performing assigned project tasks within established deadlines to meet project deliverables, including assisting the project lead in preparing and updating project schedules and validation activities. Keeps abreast of new developments in the information technology field by continuing education through online training platforms, meetings, training sessions, seminars, and conferences to increase familiarity with and remain current on products, vendors, techniques, and procedures. Performs other duties as required or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum qualifications requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of two (2) years of college with coursework in computer science or directly related fields. Requires one (1) year of Application Services or related Information Technology experience. Specialized skills requires one (1) year of professional experience supporting and maintaining the Salesforce platform or similar platform, including assisting with installations, modifications, system tuning, or basic configuration tasks. Requires one (1) year of professional experience with release or change management activities with Salesforce or a similar platform, including assisting with validation scripts, deployments, or coordination tasks. Requires one (1) year of professional experience with system development life cycle (SDLC) using Waterfall or Agile methodologies to complete assigned application service tasks. Requires one (1) year of professional experience utilizing project management tools such as Microsoft (MS) PowerPoint, MS Visio, MS Project, MS Teams Azure or similar tools to support project tasks or documentation.

Requires the ability to lift and carry objects or equipment weighing up to 10 pounds. This is considered sedentary work as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor (20 CFR 404.1567(a)). Sedentary work involves lifting no more than 10 pounds at a time and requires occasional lifting, carrying, walking, and standing.
