Job description

Position Summary:
The Physical Therapy Assistant treats referred patients, ranging in age from 18 years to geriatric who are experiencing rehabilitation diagnosis or conditions requiring rehabilitation. Assists in patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities and limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation.
Administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patientsโ€™ capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician and Physical Therapist. Educate patients and families in appropriate physical therapy methods.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Current state licensure as an Physical Therapist Assistant
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. Online certification is not acceptable

Desired Qualifications:
  • Inpatient rehabilitation experience

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Detail-oriented, able to meet strict time frames
