Job description

Summit Property Management is hiring a Regional Service Director for the Houston, Texas Market. Must have 4 years of Regional leadership experience. This is a hands‑on role to support our service teams.

Summit Property Management is seeking an accomplished and experienced Regional Maintenance Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of apartment communities within a Houston portfolio. As the Regional Maintenance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our portfolio's overall upkeep, safety, and functionality.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to extend the lifespan of property assets and minimize service disruptions.
  • Assist with drafting scopes of work and bidding on repairs and capital improvement projects.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with company Summit standards.
  • Assist with preparing properties for lender inspections.
  • Coordinate and manage vendor relationships for repairs, maintenance, and capital projects.
  • Collaborate with property managers to address resident concerns and ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues.
  • Monitor and manage maintenance budgets for each property, striving for cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, expenses, and inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and policies related to safety and maintenance.
  • Train and mentor onsite maintenance teams
Qualifications
  • You have at least 10 years of maintenance/facilities experience with at least 4 years of regional supervisory experience.
  • Expert‑level proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance practices.
  • Ability to understand, use, and interpret construction drawings and specifications,
  • Experience using property management software to create reports and analyze property performance metrics related to work order completion, unit turnover, and preventative maintenance.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • You are a goal‑oriented leader who demonstrates genuine care and concern for your team, partners, and residents.
