Job description

Position: Network Engineer - Regional Network Deployment & Scaling
Location: Abilene, TX
Duration: Contract & Fulltime
Operations Model support
Deploying greenfield network infrastructure and enabling connectivity for new OCI regions and child sites.
Supporting brownfield scaling including CFAB rack adds, compute expansions, server rack adds, and decommissions.
Building and managing data center fabrics, edge, backbone, and metro fiber networks.
Executing region builds, DRCC/Alloy expansions, multi-cloud integrations, and Butterfly turn-ups.
Operating in a CI/CD pipeline environment using GitHub and OCI's internal tools for automated deployments.
Developing scripts and automation (Python preferred) to reduce manual deployment effort.
Leveraging networking expertise across BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, DNS, DHCP, IPSEC, VPN, SSL, and working with Arista, Cisco and other network hardware.
Execution of Jira ticket assignments that relate to Network infrastructure RNS projects.
CCNA/CCNP preferred
Routing Switching
Attendance and coordination of team and project meetings.
Adherence to Oracle's security and safety best practices.
Weekend support is required, and on-call support may be required.
