Job description

Domicile Leader – Phoenix, AZ | Captive & Insurance Management (Western Region)

Are you ready to lead Aon’s captive management presence in one of the most dynamic insurance markets in the United States?

Do you thrive on combining client leadership, regulatory engagement and people leadership to deliver exceptional outcomes?

This is a hybrid role based in Phoenix, AZ, with flexibility to work both virtually and from our Phoenix office!

Aon is in the business of better decisions

At Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world.

As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive team and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.

What the day will look like

As Domicile Leader for Phoenix and the Western Region for Captive Management you will be accountable for the leadership, growth and performance of Aon’s captive management operation in Arizona. You will combine office leadership, client and market engagement, people leadership and commercial oversight to ensure exceptional service delivery while strengthening Aon’s position in the Phoenix and broader U.S. captive market.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the Phoenix office / Western Region, driving operational excellence, service quality and delivery against client commitments
  • Translating ACIM and Hub strategy into local action plans aligned to the Arizona / Western region market and regulatory environment
  • Collaborating closely with regional and global colleagues to share best practice and deliver consistent client outcomes
  • Acting as a senior representative of Aon within the Phoenix / Western Region insurance and captive community
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, regulators, industry associations and key market stakeholders
  • Supporting business development, retention and growth opportunities across Phoenix, Arizona and the wider region
  • Leading, developing and inspiring a high-performing local team, including recruitment, onboarding, coaching, succession planning and colleague engagement
  • Championing Aon United culture and creating an inclusive, collaborative working environment
  • Ensuring compliance with Arizona / wider region regulatory requirements, Aon policies and the ACIM Risk Management Framework
  • Acting as a key liaison with regulatory bodies and supporting audits, inspections and governance activities

How this opportunity is different

This is a high-profile leadership role at the heart of one of Aon’s growing captive and insurance hubs in the U.S. You will have endtoend responsibility for the Phoenix & Wider region's operation, with the scope to shape local strategy, influence regional priorities and represent Aon with senior stakeholders across the captive and insurance community. You will partner closely with ACIM and Hub leadership, work alongside specialist captive, actuarial and advisory teams, and be supported by an experienced local team committed to delivering outstanding client service. This role offers the opportunity to blend strategic leadership with handson market engagement in a dynamic, fastgrowing and globally connected environment.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Significant experience within captives, insurance management, insurance, financial services or a related sector
  • Strong understanding of the U.S. insurance and/or captive market, ideally with exposure to Arizona / Western US or similar domiciles
  • Proven leadership experience within a regulated environment
  • Commercially minded with strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Collaborative, inclusive leadership style with a track record of developing and inspiring high-performing teams

How we support our colleagues

In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage an inclusive workforce. Plus, our agile environment allows you to manage your wellbeing and work/life balance, ensuring you can be your best self at Aon. Furthermore, all colleagues enjoy two “Global Wellbeing Days” each year, encouraging you to take time to focus on yourself. We offer a variety of working style solutions for our colleagues as well.

Our continuous learning culture inspires and equips you to learn, share and grow, helping you achieve your fullest potential. As a result, at Aon, you are more connected, more relevant, and more valued.

Aon values an innovative and inclusive workplace where all colleagues feel empowered to be their authentic selves. Aon is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.

We are committed to providing equal employment opportunities and fostering an inclusive workplace. If you require accommodations during the application or interview process, please let us know. Aon is not accepting unsolicited resumes from search firms for this position. If you are a search firm, you will not be compensated in any way for your submission of a candidate, even if Aon hires that candidate.

Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $150,000 to $200,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
