Job Summary:
As a member of the administrative team of Perioperative Services, provides financial management expertise to the Division for strategic planning, budgeting, analysis and decision-making. Works collaboratively with other members of the administrative team to achieve divisional and organizational goals, acts as a liaison with other hospital department managers to meet the financial management information needs of the hospital. Prepares and/or examines various financial and non-financial reports and analyzes the impact of actual and/or proposed operational changes in meeting corporate and divisional initiatives. Coordinates the preparation and monitoring of the divisional budget and oversees the monthly report of financial performance as well as other regulatory and benchmarking reports. Interacts with the Nursing Directors, cost center administrators, and Perioperative Leadership to develop their financial skills with regard to budget development and ongoing financial management. Provides direction for the analysis, implementation and use of information systems and data critical to the financial, operational and reporting needs of the division.
Job Responsibilities:
• Coordinates the budget process such as oversees the budget preparation; oversees the development and ongoing monitoring of the Perioperative salary and non-salary expenses, revenues and special purpose funds. Monitors and analyzes the financial performance and productivity levels and provides summary reports.
• Analyzes Perioperative services operations such as produces financial analyses of current and/or proposed operations as needed by the Director of Perioperative Services for decision-making. Analyzes the financial implications and cost/benefit analysis of proposed operational changes.
• Assists in the development of the strategic plan for Perioperative services, actively participates as a member of the leadership team in the development of the Perioperative Services strategic plan and facilitates the implementation of the plan.
• Works in partnership with Hospital Administration, Corporate Finance and other disciplines to create synergy with overall activities to achieve the Hartford Hospital vision and values.

Minimum Requirements
Education
• Master's degree is required.
Experience
• Three years recent administrative experience in an acute healthcare setting required.
Licensure, Certification, Registration

• Communication skill is required in order to lead and teach.

• Advanced information systems and computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) are required.
