Regional Controller
Summary
Our client is a national construction equipment rental company that is in rapid growth mode.
As part of their strategic plans, we are looking to place a Regional Controller. This position is a newly created opening due to their expansion and there are considerably career growth opportunities in this exciting company.
General Requirements:
1.Bachelor of Arts degree with a Finance or Accounting concentration.
2.5+ years' experience in Accounting and Contracts Administration, preferably for a Construction Company.
3.Strong written and verbal communication skills
4.Microsoft experience (Excel, Word) and experience in working with software packages. I-Series experience a plus (The Company uses CMS).
5.Supervisory experience
Specific Requirements
1.Experience as both a prime and subcontractor
2.Experience with unions
3.Experience working with State Agencies on Highway work (not private work exclusively).
4.Experience leading and implementing process improvement.
5.Strong understanding of Contracts Administration, Multi State/Union Payroll, Accounts Payable, Billing, Certified Payroll, Unions, Extra Work Bills Claims, Month End Close, Income Statements, Forecasting/Budgeting
Position Responsibilities:
1.This position will have responsibility for three Contracts divisions of the Company and will be the right hand person to the Division Managers.
2.Manage and oversee an administrative team of six spread across multiple locations.
3.Work with Corporate Accounting team to close books monthly including review of WIP, over/under billings, etc. for all open contracts as well as unallocated costs and overhead expenses for each division.
4.Coordinate monthly closing meeting with Project Managers, Estimators, Division Manager and Corporate Accounting to review financial results prior to finalization.
5.Submit monthly reporting to Corporate including Bid Captures, Financial Forecasts, Backlog, large project analyses, etc. on a timely basis.
6.Work with Financial Planning & Analysis on annual budgets.
7.Review monthly AR and Under billings with Credit Department.
8.Oversee and assist with setup
9.Support divisional team (Division Manager, Project Managers, Estimators, Superintendents, Dispatch, and Field Personnel) with bids, ordering bonds and insurance certificates, subcontractor prequalification's/agreements, and other various contract related matters.
10.With the assistance of the Contract Administrator, manage contracts and bids, prepare billings to customers; work with Credit & Collections team on non-payments.
11.Through a Payroll Coordinator, ensure weekly payroll completed timely and accurately (time and equipment). Process Certified Payroll.
12.Through an Accounts Payable clerk, ensure accounts payable approved and input timely.
