We are partnering with a well-established and respected commercial specialty contractor that has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality work on large-scale commercial projects. This family-oriented organization is experiencing continued growth and is seeking an experienced Regional Operations Manager to oversee the Virginia Market.

Position Summary

The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for leading multiple site locations, ensuring operational excellence, supporting local leadership, and achieving financial and strategic business objectives. This role serves as a coach, mentor, and business partner to branch leaders while maintaining strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams.

Travel throughout DC area is expected to support operations, customer relationships, and project performance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and support to multiple sites.
  • Develop, coach, and mentor managers and operational leaders.
  • Foster a positive, people-first culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, general contractors, property managers, and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor financial performance, including revenue, profitability, gross margins, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Review project financials and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Conduct regular site visits, including project site walks, customer meetings, financial reviews, and leadership coaching.
  • Collaborate with site leadership to develop strategic growth plans for each market.
  • Identify new business opportunities and stay informed on local market conditions and competitive activity.
  • Support recruiting, hiring, and development of key operational personnel.
  • Partner with vendors to maintain strong relationships and competitive pricing.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.
  • Drive operational consistency while supporting continued growth across the region.


Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in commercial construction operations, with at least 3 years in a multi-site leadership or regional management role.
  • Experience in commercial painting, coatings, specialty contracting is strongly required.
  • Demonstrated success managing budgets, financial performance, and operational metrics.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Experience building lasting client relationships and supporting business growth.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the DC area.
