Schedule: Monday - Friday | 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM (40 hours per week)
Employment Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
Compensation: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour (Higher compensation may be considered based on experience.)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Refrigeration Mechanic on behalf of one of our manufacturing partners in the Miami area. This position is responsible for maintaining the mechanical integrity of refrigeration and industrial systems while ensuring equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulations.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working with modern refrigeration technologies, including flammable refrigerants, and possesses strong troubleshooting skills across multiple mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on refrigeration systems and related mechanical equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot refrigeration, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and ventilation systems.
  • Work with A2L/A3 refrigerants and safely handle flammable refrigerant applications.
  • Inspect equipment to identify mechanical issues and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety policies and industry regulations.
  • Read and interpret technical documentation, diagrams, and maintenance procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Perform additional maintenance-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Refrigeration Mechanic Certification (required).
  • Proven experience repairing and maintaining industrial or commercial mechanical equipment.
  • Experience working with A2L/A3 refrigerants.
  • Experience handling flammable refrigerants (including R290 or similar refrigerants preferred).
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional experience with commercial refrigeration manufacturing or industrial equipment.
  • Experience performing preventive maintenance in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of refrigeration safety standards and best practices.
