As a key member of our design team, you’ll work on creating detailed construction drawings for commercial refrigeration systems. Your role will involve making decisions, thinking critically under tight deadlines, and collaborating with team members to ensure project success.

  • Produce construction drawings for commercial refrigeration systems.
  • Use your problem-solving skills to make well-informed decisions under deadlines.
  • Maintain open communication with teammates to drive project progress.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide construction drawings for commercial refrigeration systems.
  • Understand corporate and client design and CAD standards, and how to apply each.
  • Understand and applying basic refrigeration and mechanical design concepts and codes.
  • Understand and applying specific client design requirements and processes.
  • Meet project and design goals as defined by clients.
  • Meet drafting and design goals as defined by supervisors.
  • Deliver a high level of accuracy and good presentation of drafting and design.
  • Work in a team environment which will include several Engineers / designers / drafters and may expand and grow as the account develops.
  • Coordinate with other team members as necessary to facilitate efficiency in the design process.
Requirements:

Key Skills & Experience Required:

  • 1-5 Years of Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or related field) from an ABET/EAC accredited program
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred
  • Experience in Refrigeration Engineering and/or HVAC Engineering is preferred
  • REVIT and/or AUTOCAD drafting experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment to complete projects
  • Able to interact with other staff and clients with a professional, cooperative and helpful attitude
  • Proficiency using computers, Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
  • Ability and willingness to learn multiple systems, software and processes
