Minimum Requirements:

  • 4 years site experience
  • 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering is an asset
  • Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Attach your TSSA operating tickets with your application in order to be considered

Responsibilities:

  • Learn and adhere to the refinery's management systems
  • Work on a crew covering a qualified post within an operating unit
  • Operate the refinery equipment in a safe, efficient manner according to established practices, procedures and operating guidelines
  • Perform preventative maintenance and trouble-shooting to maintain process equipment
  • Monitor the operation and equipment for deviations
  • Review and adjust equipment and process variables to maintain a safe and environmentally sound operation and to ensure product quality

Location and other Key details:

  • You will work out of our Syncrude Aurora site in Fort McMurray
  • The shift schedule is 3 days 3 nights and 6 off - 12-hour shifts
  • You will be required to perform some heavy lifting, use ladders and work on elevated work sites such as scaffolds and towers with the ability to perform in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor as well as within confined spaces
