Job description

We are looking for:The Production Engineer will be responsible for and execute all aspects of compounding and resin operations (manufacturing, process, systems, quality, accounting, etc.) for the Greenville plant. This position will be accountable (with the Production Coordinator) for establishing and implementing plans and cost targets and for meeting overall business unit objectives.
We count on you for:
  • Ensuring safe operations by identifying and resolving unsafe acts and conditions within the unit.
  • Support running EPO's to qualify the new products on Greenville lines.
  • Resolving operational difficulties and providing technical problem solving capability to eliminate production of nonconforming materials.
  • Debottlenecking production to increase run rates and achieve targeted production costs.
  • Developing and implementing capital projects (as assigned) to support improvements in Compounding.
  • Managing the rework process for non-conforming, aged (slow moving) and/or obsolete materials.
  • Drafting/reviewing new unit MI's to provide clear and concise instructions for the safe operation of the new equipment.
  • Tracking and communicating key unit performance measurements including yields, costs, reliability, production and quality metrics.
  • Supporting ISO, RCMS and VPP requirements in the unit and becoming certified as internal auditor.
  • Working with maintenance supervisor to support elimination of reoccurring equipment problems.
  • Designing and documenting screw profiles to provide optimal product run rates and physical properties.
  • Participating in setting up workflows to facilitate production at higher rates.
  • Supporting development and deployment of unit strategic vision.
  • Serving as subject matter expert for at-line training to reinforce good manufacturing practices.
  • Streamlining work processes to optimize utilization of operations resources.

HSE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Perform required safety audits per the Augusta Plant yearly audit plan.
  • Attend plant-wide safety/wellness sessions.
  • Review/perform required safety audits, JSA's and What-if scenarios.
  • Complete all required trainings on time.
  • Participate in PSM, PHA, and PSSR field reviews, as well as Follow-Up Incident investigations as needed.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all plant environmental standards, ES-01 through ES-10.
  • Know the environmental permit limits for your assigned plant (air, waste water, storm water).
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the Hazardous Waste Rules (RCRA) to include storage, handling, sampling, transporting, manifesting, record keeping, and emergency response.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the facility environmental plans (SPCC, Storm Water Pollution Prevention).

  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $94,960 to $118,700 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
  • 16, or more, weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave, according to local regulations.
