Position Overview:
As a Reference Data Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date reference data for our clients. This includes researching, validating, and entering data into our systems, as well as ensuring data quality and consistency. You will also be responsible for identifying and resolving any data discrepancies or issues that may arise.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and validate reference data from various sources, including internal databases and external vendors
Enter data into our systems accurately and efficiently
Monitor and maintain data quality and consistency
Identify and resolve data discrepancies or issues in a timely manner
Collaborate with team members to ensure data is accurate and up-to-date
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding data-related inquiries
Develop and maintain documentation of reference data processes and procedures
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices related to reference data management
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
2+ years of experience in reference data management or a similar role
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other data management tools
Knowledge of financial markets and instruments is a plus
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
