Reference Data Product Owner

As a Reference Data Product Owner in the Reference Data Product Owner team, you will work closely with the Line of Business stakeholders, data subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Consumers and technology teams across Finance, Credit Risk, liquidity, Treasury and the various Program Management teams. Reference Data Team represents a single authoritative repository for strategically sourced reference data. Team is the Authoritative Data Source across several data domains including Financial, Instrument, Client, Rate and Instrument.

Data Product Owner will play a crucial role in project planning, execution, and tracking to ensure successful delivery. This position requires a candidate to coordinate tasks, monitor progress, and analyze data to ensure on time, accurate, delivery.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collect and document detailed business requirements from stakeholders
  • Facilitate User Acceptance Testing cycles by partnering with key stakeholders to validate business requirements and ensure quality deliverables
  • Articulate the product vision and strategy in alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Organize, schedule, coordinate, and control project activities and resources.
  • Provide training and support to users, helping them understand the data product.
  • Identify issues and risks, define mitigation strategies, and manage risk communication or escalation processes.
  • Gather user feedback on the product to enhance functionality and user experience.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience in product, financial services, technology, project management, or other relevant fields.
  • Ability to quickly learn and assimilate business and technical knowledge
  • Strong data analysis and visualization skillsets
  • Effective communication skills (both verbal and written) for engaging with business and technical stakeholders and management.
  • Experience working on projects that involve interaction with various stakeholders and technology within a financial domain.
  • Strong partnership skills and experience influencing key stakeholders.
  • Ability to perform in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • SQL/querying knowledge a plus
  • Agile project management experience, including proficiency in agile project management tools (i.e., JIRA, Confluence, Lucid etc.)
  • Knowledge of JIRA, SQL, Microsoft suite of applications, Databricks and data visualization/analytical tools (Tableau, Alteryx, Python) is a plus
  • Experience with cross-functional team collaboration
  • Ability to streamline workflows and improve project efficiency

Candidates must be able to physically work in our Newark, DE office 5 days a week.
