Job description

HoverTech International, an Etac and medical device company established in 1997 is seeking a Business Data Analyst to join their team in Allentown, PA.


The Business Data Analyst will report to the CFO and will be responsible for collecting and cleaning high volume sales and distributor files, maintaining the flow of data through the warehouse and building and maintaining Tableau dashboards. This role will collaborate with the sales, finance and operations team to ensure data is accurate, well-organized and turned into useful reporting.

 

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree, advanced Excel skills, Tableau (or comparable BI platform) skills, can build and maintain dashboards and can communicate data to non-technical stakeholders. This role requires someone who is curious, can think outside the box and is passionate about data accuracy and integrity!

Business Data Analyst responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end sales data processing including collecting, validating and reconciling sales and distributor data to ensure accurate, timely reporting for internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Maintain data integrity across ERP, CRM and data warehouse systems by monitoring data flows, identifying the root-cause of discrepancies, documenting data sources as well as processes.
  • Partner with Finance, Sales and Operations teams to translate business requirements into actionable reporting, analytics and data-driven insights.
  • Own HoverTech’s Tableau environment including maintaining existing dashboards and managing data source connections.  

Business Data Analyst Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, analytics, information systems or a related field.
  • 2-4 years Business Data Analyst experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and XLOOKUP, must be able to build and maintain structured data workflows, formulas and reporting templates.
  • 1-2 yrs. Tableau or comparable BI platform (Power BI), must be able to build and maintain dashboards.
  • Working knowledge of SQL (preferred not required).
  • Detail oriented, organized and an excellent communication skills.
