Position at a Glance

We are seeking a motivated and detail driven Program Associate to join our Business Services team. In this role, youll support a dynamic department dedicated to connecting businesses with talent and strengthening our regional workforce. Scope of Responsibilities

  • Support Business Services staff through outreach activities such as cold calls, mass email campaigns, job fairs, and chamber association events.
  • Help increase awareness and utilization of the local workforce system among employers and job seekers.
  • Gather and analyze labor market information from platforms such as Maryland Workforce Exchange (MWE) and regional economic reports.
  • Conduct sourcing activities within MWE to identify job seekers aligned with employer needs.
  • Use applicant tracking systems and CRM tools to track business prospects, job opportunities, referrals, placements, and retention outcomes.
  • Submit weekly data reports related to job development, recruitment, career pathways, and workforce programming.
  • Collaborate with the Business Services team in coordinating hiring events.
  • Maintain accurate records of business and apprenticeship outreach and follow-up activities.

Selection Criteria

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED, required
  • 2+ years of administrative or office management experience in a business community or customer facing role.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Experience tracking documentation, schedules, and program or office data.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook) CRM databases and AI tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders.
  • A professional demeanor focused on excellent customer service and business engagement.
  • Experience with eligibility or intake processes for workbased learning programs- such as internships, work experience, on the job training (OJT) and apprenticeship, preferred.
  • Experience supporting justice involved or reentry pouluations is a plus
