Job description

Here at Reeder's, we are taking the term "Gas Station Food" to the next level. As a Sous Chef at Reeder's, you will assist our Executive Chef on the preparation of entrees, side items, sandwiches, and desserts. Reeder's is known for items such as fresh baked pop tarts to brown butter salmon bowls, we have made gourmet food available as a convenience. With an on-site kitchen that prepares all our Fresh to Convenience food, we are looking to hire a Sous Chef that can help assist our Executive Chef with moving Reeder's into the future of the convenience store industry. Responsibilities of a Reeder's Sous Chef may also include restocking products, maintaining station cleanliness, dishwashing, and opening and closing duties. Each Sous Chef will report to the Executive Chef.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to clearly communicate and exchange accurate information that others will understand
  • Ability to constantly observe details at a close range (within a few feet of the observer)

Education:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Food Industry and/or degree from culinary institute
  • High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent preferred

Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable transportation

Certifications:
  • Food handlers permit
