What You'll Be Doing
  • Design, engineer, and support enterprise Red Hat Linux environments (RHEL) across physical, virtual, and cloud platforms.
  • Lead installation, configuration, maintenance, and lifecycle management of Red Hat systems, including OS upgrades, patching, and decommissioning.
  • Architect and maintain highly available, secure, and scalable Linux solutions supporting business-critical workloads.
  • Implement and maintain automation using tools such as Ansible / Ansible Automation Platform, scripting (Bash, Python), and configuration management best practices.
  • Administer and integrate Red Hat ecosystem components such as Red Hat Satellite, Insights, and subscription management.
  • Partner with security teams to enforce hardening standards, vulnerability remediation, compliance requirements, and audit readiness (e.g., CIS, STIG, SOX, PCI).
  • Troubleshoot complex OS, performance, storage, network, and application-related issues; perform root cause analysis and implement preventative controls.
  • Support virtualization and containerized platforms (e.g., VMware, KVM, OpenShift, Kubernetes) as they relate to Linux workloads.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide advanced-level incident response and problem management.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
  • Serve as a senior advisor and escalation point for Linux-related matters across IT teams.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers; promote standards, automation, and best practices.
  • Contribute to infrastructure modernization initiatives, including cloud/hybrid adoption, automation, and platform optimization.

What We Are Looking For:
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience administering enterprise Linux environments, with strong focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
  • Deep expertise in Linux system internals, performance tuning, networking, filesystem management, and troubleshooting.
  • Proven experience with automation and configuration management (Ansible strongly preferred).
  • Strong scripting skills (Bash required)
  • Experience supporting Linux in large-scale, production enterprise environments.
  • Solid understanding of security hardening, patch management, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM) and exposure to containers and Kubernetes/OpenShift environments.
  • Ability to lead complex technical efforts and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.

Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate:
$121,300.00 - $135,999.60
