Location
US-Tennessee-Dyersburg
Overview
To provide supervision and guidance to the overall production process and personnel. This position ensures the production schedule is met and collaborates with various departments to ensure all customer needs are satisfied.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure consistent production of the product through documented procedures and process conditions.
  • Ensure maximum efficiency of workforce and equipment.
  • Ensure that production schedules are met.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to all production personnel, including the areas of performance management, attendance/timekeeping, training, position movement, and disciplinary actions.
  • Oversee scheduling department.
  • Coordinate with buyer and scheduler to control raw material inventory, ensuring production has an acceptable inventory of materials to always meet customer needs.
  • Correspond with customers regarding any issues, quality defects, or process changes.
  • Ensure that product loss factor is kept at an acceptable level through accurate record keeping, standard operating procedures, and Associate training.
  • Participate in continual education of Lean Manufacturing, 6S, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Travel to other HEXPOL locations or to customers may be required.
  • Perform any other project/task as assigned by Management.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field. Experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Seven (7) years of leadership/supervisory experience in a production position, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, preferred.
  • Proficient written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer/systems skills - MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook).
  • Solid organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and manage a broad range of responsibilities.
  • High degree of concentration, attention to detail, high energy, self-motivated and self-reliant.
  • Ability to manage, coach and develop Associates.
  • Ability to interact well with all personality types in a leadership role.
  • Strong cooperation, collaboration, and team-building skills.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills with an emphasis on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to handle personal and confidential information.
