The Data Center Operations Security Program Manager is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing management of the physical security program across one or more data-center campuses. This role ensures the protection of personnel, critical infrastructure, customer assets, and information by establishing standardized security policies, operational procedures, compliance controls, and risk-management frameworks aligned with industry standards and operational best practices.
The Security Program Manager partners closely with Operations, Facilities, IT, Legal, Compliance, and external security vendors to maintain a secure, resilient, and audit-ready environment without compromising uptime or operational efficiency.
Key Accountabilities
  • Develop, own, and maintain the enterprise physical security program for data-center operations.
  • Establish standardized security policies, procedures, and operational playbooks across all sites.
  • Define security governance frameworks aligned with industry standards.
  • Oversee day-to-day physical security operations including access control, surveillance, and guard services.
  • Implement and manage access control systems, CCTV, alarms, and monitoring platforms.
  • Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and threat modeling.
  • Lead security incident investigations and corrective action planning.
  • Develop and maintain incident response and escalation procedures.
  • Support audits, customer assurance activities, and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage security vendors, contracts, SLAs, and performance metrics.
  • Develop and deliver security training and awareness programs.
  • Establish KPIs, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in physical security or risk management.
  • Experience managing multi-site security programs.
  • Strong knowledge of physical security systems and technologies.
  • Experience supporting audits and compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
