Job Summary
The Associate Director of Recruitment provides leadership and coordination for institutional recruitment and enrollment outreach within the Office of Admissions. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Recruitment and Admissions, this position supports recruitment strategy, supervises staff, and manages outreach operations. The role ensures alignment with institutional priorities and enrollment goals while working with campus partners to support a coordinated recruitment process. This position contributes to divisional priorities within Student Affairs and Enrollment Management and supports overall institutional enrollment objectives.
This position is designated by the institution as Essential Personnel and Campus Security Authority (CSA).
Responsibilities
1- Strategic Recruitment Leadership - Assists in the development, execution, and assessment of recruitment strategies, including market analysis, enrollment projections, and territory planning; supports implementation of goals and priorities aligned with institutional enrollment objectives.
2- Staff Supervision and Organizational Leadership - Directly supervises and evaluates recruitment personnel; assists in establishing staffing structures, assigns territories, sets performance expectations, and implements accountability measures; provides ongoing coaching, professional development, and leadership to support achievement of enrollment goals.
3- Enrollment Management and Data-Driven Decision Making - Monitors and analyzes recruitment funnel metrics, enrollment trends, and market data; uses analytics to inform strategy adjustments, resource allocation, and institutional decision-making; prepares reports and provides data to support enrollment planning and decision-making.
4- Recruitment Operations and Admissions Coordination - Provides oversight of recruitment-related admissions processes, including application review coordination, decision timelines, and prospective student follow-up; ensures alignment with admissions operations to support efficient, compliant, and student-centered enrollment processes.
5- Recruitment Event Strategy and Execution - Coordinates the planning, development, and execution of recruitment initiatives and events, including campus visit experiences, yield events, and outreach programming; ensures events support strategic enrollment objectives and conversion goals.
6- Student Assistant and Ambassador Program Oversight - Oversees the Admissions student assistant program and establishes direction for a structured student ambassador program; ensures programs effectively support recruitment, engagement, and enrollment efforts while aligning with institutional priorities.
7- CRM and Recruitment Technology Leadership - Serves as a functional lead for recruitment systems and CRM utilization; supports communication strategies, workflow efficiency, data integrity, and process improvements.
8- International Admissions and Compliance - Serves as Designated School Official (DSO); oversees international student admissions processes, federal compliance, and immigration record maintenance; coordinates services to support international student recruitment, onboarding, and retention.
9- Cross-Functional Collaboration and Institutional Representation - Collaborates with campus partners including Marketing, Financial Aid, Academic Affairs, and Athletics to support coordinated enrollment initiatives; represents the institution at recruitment events, schools, and community engagements.
10- Performs related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
-Bachelors degree in a course of study related to the occupational field.
Other Required Qualifications
-Ability to obtain Designated School Official (DSO) authorization following hire.
-Must possess a current valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and pass a yearly Motor Vehicle Report review.
Required Experience
-More than 5 years of progressively responsible experience in admissions, recruitment, sales, or enrollment management.
