Overview
Registered Nurse - Cath Lab (EP Lab) travel assignment in Rochester, NY. Start date: 09/14/2026 for weeks. Shift: 4x10 Days. Weekly pay: $2,746-$2,909 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Setting: hospital electrophysiology lab handling adult and geriatric patients. This role requires EP lab skills, including scrubbing and/ or using the Micropace monitoring system for ablations, with orientation and credentialing appropriate for a fast-paced EP environment.

Responsibilities
- Scrub and assist in electrophysiology procedures including cardiac ablation, mapping, and conduction studies; assist with cardioversion as needed
- Support device work: pacemaker and AICD insertion, programming, and related follow-up
- Operate and monitor Micropace system; assist with mapping and procedural workflow
- Manage vascular access steps: sheath insertion/removal, vascular closure with devices as applicable, and hemostasis
- Administer and manage medications per protocol (IV vasopressors, emergency meds, thrombolytics); start and maintain IV lines; perform phlebotomy as needed
- Monitor dysrhythmias, provide procedural sedation support, and ensure patient safety; maintain one-to-one patient care where required
- Prepare and document in the Epic charting system; ensure accurate and timely post-procedure documentation and patient recovery notes
Requirements
- Licenses: NY RN license in hand to submit; posting notes indicate pending license OK, but confirm acceptance with account manager before submittal
- Certifications: ACLS and BLS required
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of EP lab experience; posting notes also indicate first-timers may be accepted; confirm eligibility with account manager
- Skills: Proficient in EP procedures (ablation, mapping, conduction studies, device insertion/programming), scrubbing, Micropace monitoring, vascular access and hemostasis techniques
- Charting: Epic experience required
- Additional: Ability to work in an adult/geriatric EP lab; potential float to other units; confirm float expectations with account manager
- Orientation: 40-hour orientation required prior to procedures
- Other: Scrubs provided by the facility
