Job description

Summary Join the Parks & Recreation Family. We offer so many perks working for the City: great experience, flexible hours, FREE access to Frances Meadows Aquatic Center - including the Fitness Center and Splash Zone, DISCOUNTS on concessions, programs, and rentals, and so much more. ***** Responsible for supervision of nighttime and/or weekend activities related to Athletics and Recreation programs.

Includes greeting customers, taking care of customer requests and maintaining order during events, practices and games. Enforces rules and policies of the Agency. Opens and secures facilities.

Assists other facility staff as needed. Answers phone, completes reports and provides detailed information relating to events and other Agency activities. Job Duties Must be properly dressed and groomed to meet the public and supervise events.

Works flexible schedule depending on activities scheduled. Patrols/monitors all public areas associated with the activity. Documents any concerns or corrective actions needed.

Supervise patrons, participants and officials and enforces all rules, policies and procedures of the Agency. Responsible for keeping all areas securely locked, except for areas in use. Be observant, walk through the area being used, as well as other areas accessible to users, monitor for problems or potential of such and handle appropriately.

Ability to deal effectively with patrons, associates and the general public. Must be observant of visitors and give assistance to any who need direction. Ability to respond to emergency situations such as accidents, altercations between patrons, etc.

Check before and after events to insure that all conditions are safe. (I.e. Trash picked up and properly disposed of, equipment returned to proper location, note any damage or problems and notify supervisor.) Perform other related duties as required

Hours are dependent upon Activity schedule - Maximum of 20 hours per week. Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience: None Licenses and Certifications: None Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to read and write Ability to understand and follow instructions Ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner Knowledge of overall functions of the Division Ability to perform some lifting and routine maintenance Supplemental Information This class specification should not be interpreted as all inclusive.
