Job description

The Specialist Lead, Records & Contracts (R&C) possesses a working knowledge of records principles and utilizes records management experience and expertise to develop, lead, execute and monitor R&C complex projects and initiatives.

As an experienced member of R&C, the Specialist Lead leads and participates in projects that directly support compliance-focused records processes and managing records-related risks to the Deloitte US firm. This role performs advanced data integrity processes, executes records management projects that have an impact at all levels in the organization, supervises project teams, and facilitates firm adherence to established records-related business processes and internal and external requirements. This position will lead transformative projects related to records management processes and cloud-based records system functionality to support the compliance-focused management of records at Deloitte.

Work you'll do

As a Specialist Lead with the R&C team, you will be responsible for:

  • Driving the execution of records management project initiatives, such as managing annual post-retention destruction projects and onsite projects, and delivering project results that are on schedule and within budget
  • Implementing advanced data integrity projects, including advanced research, data analysis, queries, and report generation
  • Communicating updates and overviews within R&C and to key stakeholders across the firm
  • Developing records system requirements based on knowledge of records retention policies and business needs and tracking and testing requirements from creation through resolution and deployment
  • Managing project team members to ensure high levels of accuracy, service quality, subject matter expertise, communication, and professionalism
  • Implementing innovative processes and procedures to increase efficiency, improve organization, and enhance services provided
  • Escalating issues, risks, and decisions to R&C leadership or other stakeholders as necessary and recommends mitigating actions
  • Fostering and managing key stakeholder relationships among the US businesses, Office of General Counsel, Risk, ITS and other relevant stakeholders to successfully execute records processes and initiatives; serves as an SME for area(s) of responsibility
  • Providing end user and customer support, including support to practitioners engaged in records management processes
  • Monitoring established business procedures and overseeing the privacy and security of official records
  • Developing and documenting project documentation and standard operating procedures related to assigned processes
  • Performing other job-related duties as assigned
  • Ability to work productively across all levels in a large organization, including virtual and global business teams and internal clients

Required

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of related records management experience, including understanding of information/record management principles, processes and policies, design, systems/applications, and functions
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills and SharePoint skills
  • Advanced project management skills
  • Experience using database software, including searching, executing queries, and running reports - experience with writing SQL queries a plus
  • Available to travel approximately 30 percent, depending on projects
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
  • Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

Preferred

  • Certified Records Manager (CRM) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desirable

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $72,900 to $134,000.
