Our specialty medical practice is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Records staff member to join our team in Mobile, Alabama. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, accuracy, and working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.


The ideal candidate will have prior medical records experience, knowledge of HIPAA regulations, and an understanding of release of information procedures.


This is a full-time, day shift position with no weekends and paid holidays off.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and organize electronic medical records (EMR/EHR)
  • File and manage patient charts and documentation
  • Process medical records requests and release of information
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
  • Respond to medical records inquiries from providers, patients, and staff
  • Fax and upload medical records and documentation
