The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking an entry level Record Manager to join our team supporting the United States Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) under the SCOPES (Southern Command Operations, Planning, and Engagement Support) contract. The ideal candidate will support the management, organization, and maintenance of official documents and records. The Records Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal regulations and departmental policies regarding the handling, storage, and disposition of records. This position offers an opportunity to learn and grow within a highly structured and mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

• Implement policies and procedures in accordance with SOUTHCOM policy, National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) add other applicable federal laws and regulations.

• Ensure compliance with Department of War and federal records management policies.

• Assist in the classification, indexing, and filing of records according to established guidelines.

• Support the retrieval and delivery of records for audits, legal inquiries, and operational needs.

• Help maintain electronic and physical records systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Participate in records inventory and assist with the destruction or archiving of obsolete documents.

• Collaborate with team members and other departments to support information requests.

• Identify and report problems and deficiencies in the record management program for corrective action.

• Maintain records in accordance with approved records retention schedules.

• Conduct periodic records inventories and quality assurance reviews.

• Assist with records transfer, accessioning, and disposition activities.

• Provide records management guidance and support to USSOUTHCOM personnel.

• Support records migration, digitization, and electronic content management initiatives

• Support inspections, audits, and compliance reviews related to records management

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to follow procedures and work within strict guidelines.

• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and document management systems.

• Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn.

• Familiarity with NARA records management requirements and DoW records management policies.

• Ability to handle sensitive and classified information in accordance with applicable regulations.

Highly Desired:

• Certified NARA Records Manager

• 1 or more years experience as a Records Manager and experience maintaining electronic records management systems.

Working Environment:

• Full Time On-site at USSOUTHCOM Headquarters, Doral, Florida

• May require occasional support during non-standard hours to meet mission requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clearance and contract requirements

Additional Information

Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance as required by the Department of Defense. Training will be provided to ensure compliance with federal records management standards.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
