Job description

Savan is seeking a RIM Consultant to serve in a team role supporting the design and implementation of a federal client’s records management program. To be successful in this position, you should have a working knowledge of developing or updating agency or organization policies, procedures, and artifacts. You will be expected to define records management program requirements, coordinate with an office within a large Federal agency to apply those requirements, and prepare office stakeholders for sustained records management compliance. Familiarity with best practices and documentation needed to manage paper and electronic records is required.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Design and document records management program policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders to apply policies and procedures.
  • Support completion, validation, and application of records inventories, file plans, and records schedules.
  • Analyze and execute records disposition activities (destruction and transfer)
  • Support the identification and training of records liaisons as appropriate.
  • Communicate and coordinate paper records management compliance across file facilities.
  • Communicate, coordinate, and oversee the configuration of electronic records management controls.
  • Develop communications and training materials to promote awareness of records management activities, responsibilities, and program changes
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience working directly as part of a Records Management Program Office or related function
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to acquire and maintain a Public Trust
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of Federal records management laws, regulations, and practices
  • Ability to translate requirements into compliance activities.
  • Experience applying or maintaining records inventories, file plans, and other related artifacts.
  • Experience configuring and/or troubleshooting low-to-no code records management applications.
  • Ability to quickly analyze and understand key business processes and artifacts.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong and consistent business writing
Work Location and Schedule:

Hybrid Schedule – (Must report onsite to Washington, DC 2-Days/Week)
