Our surgery center was recognized as one of America's top ambulatory surgery centers by Newsweek in 2022. Our surgeons offer femtosecond assisted laser cataract surgery. North Georgia Eye Aesthetics offers oculoplastic and reconstructive services. We have a dedicated dry eye clinic which includes state of the art treatments including Lipiflow and IPL.. Whether your patients need an annual eye check or treatment for a specific eye condition, North Georgia Eye Associates can care for their entire family.
Position Summary
The Front Desk Associate provides exceptional patient service, both in person and over the phone. This position interviews patients and/or their representatives to obtain complete and accurate demographic, financial and insurance information, required for billing and collecting patient accounts. The Front Office Associate performs a variety of clerical and patient service duties necessary to maintain efficient flow of operations in the medical office. The Front Office Associate may answer multiple phone lines, schedule appointments, assist in processing medical records requests, enter patient demographic and insurance information, and accept patient payments.
Responsibilities
โ€ข Displays high level of professionalism and gives superb customer service
โ€ข Obtains and reviews patient demographic and insurance information for accuracy
โ€ข Verifies insurance and collects copays, co-insurance, and outstanding balances
โ€ข Ensures all patient intake forms are signed and complete
โ€ข Answers patient communication pathways including multiple phone lines, Solution Reach Conversations Messaging Portal, and email/fax
โ€ข Schedules appointments
โ€ข Processes medical record requests per policies and procedures
โ€ข Coordinates with Clinical Staff to ensure optimal patient experience
Qualifications
Education:
โ€ข High School Diploma or Equivalent Certificate
Required Skills:
โ€ข Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office/health care setting
โ€ข Minimum 2 years of health care insurance experience
โ€ข Strong computer knowledge and skills with a minimum typing speed of 30 WPM
โ€ข Strong desire to assist others and provide excellent customer service
โ€ข Must be highly dependable and organized
โ€ข Outstanding interpersonal skills
โ€ข An impeccably clean, polished, professional image
โ€ข The ability to learn quickly, retain training, problem solve and think independently
