Job description

OT Dynamics is looking for a Paint Lable & Manufacturing Coordinator to join our team In Lynchburg, VA.
The Paint Label & Manufacturing Coordinator is responsible for accurately managing paint labeling, coordinating label inventory, and supporting the manufacturing processes. This role ensures labels are compliant, inventory is maintained, and manufacturing records are organized and accurate. The coordinator will also have purchasing responsibilities for sourcing and acquiring goods, services, or raw materials for the organization. Core daily job duties include evaluating suppliers for cost and quality, reviewing pricing and contract terms, managing purchase orders, and tracking shipments to maintain healthy inventory levels Demonstrates an ability to pivot seamlessly between varied administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Labels:
  • Accurately edits, prints, and prepares paint labels.
  • Modifies and updates label templates; creates new labels based on SDS information.
  • Communicate with label manufacturers to initiate label restock processes.
  • Maintains monthly label inventory and tracks restocking needs.
  • Performs mild printer maintenance, including replacing industrial-size toner, drum cartridges, and some larger printer components.

Manufacturing:
  • Prepares and cuts batch tickets and fill tickets.
  • Converts raw material inventory into finished goods inventory.
  • Maintains organized records and files of past batch tickets for reference and compliance.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost-efficiency. Review purchase requisitions and convert approved requests into Purchase Orders (POs) in the ERP/procurement system.
  • Track and monitor open orders to ensure timely deliveries; proactively expedite shipments when necessary.
  • Verify Documentation - Compare packing lists, purchase orders, and bills of lading to ensure the shipment is accurate.
  • Prepare Documentation - Create shipping labels, Bills of Lading (BOL), and other necessary transit documents
  • Coordinate with Carriers - Schedule freight pickups or coordinate with 3rd party

Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some experience in manufacturing or label management preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design software is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with industrial printers and basic maintenance procedures.
  • Accuracy in labeling and data entry.
  • Communication skills for coordinating with vendors and internal teams.
  • Organizational skills for recordkeeping and inventory management.
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 3 hours at a time is required.
  • Ability to lift 20lbs regularly and up to 55lbs on occasion.
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crawl
  • Basic graphic design capability (optional).
