Job description

Hello,

Role - Software Development Engineer (SDE) — Java Backend

Duration - 6 Months+

Location - Onsite (Herndon, VA (IAD31)/Arlington, VA (HQ2)/New York, NY

Note:  Must have EX Amazon experience

We are supporting a large cloud security organization building a backend platform for software vulnerability management. The scope includes software composition analysis (SCA), third-party software supply chain analysis, CVE-to-codebase matching, and ticketing/remediation plumbing. This is a platform-shaped build — not a one-shot deliverable. The client is funded and ready to move; there is a competing firm already in conversation, so speed of candidate delivery is critical.

SKILLSET REQUIREMENTS

Required:

• Must have prior Amazon experience. Work onsite 5 days. Candidates must submit past Amazon team and past Amazon manager.

• Java backend development — 5+ years

• AWS stack experience (AWS constructs, services)

• Familiarity with software build systems

• Understanding of CVE/vulnerability data models and security-specific concepts

• Onshore US-based (non-negotiable — funding requirement)

 Nice to Have:

 Embedded systems familiarity

• Experience with 3rd-party library/dependency analysis
