Job description

The Global Accounts Receivable (GAR) team is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Financial Analyst with treasury expertise to help achieve our vision of providing a world-class Order-to-Cash (O2C) experience to our internal and external customers, in support of Amazon's journey to become Earth's most customer-centric company. This role serves as the process-level controller for financial compliance obligations tied to banking and accounts receivable operations, ensuring all activities adhere to applicable local, state, federal, and international regulatory requirements - including ownership of financial system access governance across Amazon's AR platforms.
This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for all bank relationships, playing a critical part in Amazon's O2C ecosystem. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of bank file management, bank account controllership, the onboarding and migration of banking infrastructure across Amazon's global business channels, and the governance of user access across AR financial systems - including Oracle Financials (OFA), CART, Amazon AR, and bank portals

This role requires the ability to enforce access control policies in alignment with the principle of least privilege and SOX requirements, monitor and respond to regulatory changes, and partner with Legal, Tax, IT Security, and GRC teams to ensure Amazon's banking, receivables, and financial system practices remain fully compliant with evolving regulatory requirements across all applicable jurisdictions.
This individual must be strategic yet hands-on - capable of rolling up their sleeves, working independently, and demonstrating an extremely high level of ownership. They will seek opportunities to reduce risk to the business by minimizing manual processes, eliminating waste, and driving scalability and self-service across banking and financial system operations. Leveraging treasury expertise and a strong understanding of control environments, this individual will collaborate with technology and finance teams to implement emerging solutions that strengthen internal controls while improving operational efficiency.

Key job responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end access lifecycle for AR financial systems - including provisioning, modification, periodic GRC review, and timely revocation of user access across OFA, CART, and Amazon AR financial systems.
- Serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for all banking relationships, managing day-to-day communication, escalations, and Accounts Receivable strategic engagement with financial institutions on behalf of Amazon.
- Manage third-party vendor relationships for banking-related services, including check processing, lockbox file delivery, and payment file transmission, ensuring SLA adherence and timely issue resolution.
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for bank account validation processes for new business launches and geographic expansions, ensuring accounts are properly established, tested, and compliant prior to go-live across Amazon's global operations.
- Partner with FinTech, PMO, and Treasury teams to support banking infrastructure changes, AR requirements for onboarding of new bank accounts to Amazon's financial systems (OFA, Amazon AR) for new product/SOR launches, and market expansions.
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for bank account validation; own and maintain a comprehensive, accurate inventory of OFA and Amazon AR banking accounts across all lines of business, serving as the primary source for bank account ownership, structure, and status - leveraging Kyriba as the system of record.
- Partner with FOAA (Financial Operations and Accounting), PMO, and Global Cash Application teams to ensure bank account data integrity across financial systems, resolution of bank account ownership disputes and co-mingling issues across lines of business, establishing clear primary ownership and account governance frameworks.
- Serve as the process-level controller to support tax and legal compliance requirements related to AR operations, including unclaimed property reporting schedules, and audit response materials ensuring all activities adhere to applicable federal, state, and international regulations.
- Leverage AI and emerging technologies to strengthen internal controls, automate routine O2C processes, and improve operational efficiency across global accounts receivable operations.
